The North Laurel Animal Hospital is pleased to provide appointment times with our doctors and technicians six days per week Monday through Saturday. We are also pleased to provide surgical services five days per week Monday through Friday.
Technician appointments may be scheduled throughout the day and may include non-doctor services such as vaccines, nail trims, tick removal, blood draw and several other minor procedures. For clarification on whether or not your pet must be seen by a doctor, please consult our reception staff at 301-953-7387.
We conduct surgical procedures from 12:00pm through 4:00pm Monday through Friday. Our doctors are highly skilled in soft tissue surgery, ophthalmic surgery and some orthopedic surgery. We will perform some orthopedic surgeries in-house but may refer larger animals or more complicated cases to a specialty board certified surgeon at nearby referral practices.
In the event of an emergency during normal business hours, every effort should be made to communicate the extent of your pet's condition and a time to come in for evaluation by our doctor's. In most instances, we will instruct an owner to bring their pet in for emergency care, however, depending on the severity of the injury/condition, the owner may be referred to local specialty hospital or emergency clinic.
The North Laurel Animal Hospital is proud to accept new clients on a continuing basis. Appointments for new clients follow the same guidelines as appointments for existing clients in that they will be made according to the above mentioned appointment times daily. In order to minimize time spent in our waiting room, please fill out the form below and bring it with you to your first appointment. Please also bring any previous medical records for your pet's so that we may provide the most appropriate and necessary care. As a special request, please fill out the referral section in the most detail you can so that we may thank the referring party.
Additionally, we try to encourage our clients to refer their friends and family when they are happy with our services. We feel there is no better thank you then sending a new client our way. So download the Client Referral Credits below, put your name on them and hand them out to anyone and everyone. For every one that we get, your account will be credited $10. It's our way of saying "thank you!"
Lastly, we request that new clients bring a fresh stool sample so we may screen for parasites and bring any existing medical records from your previous veterinarian, breeder or shelter. New clients should arrive 10-15 minutes early in order to fill out requisite paper work.
We are pleased to provide house calls on a limited basis to our clients who we have previously seen in hospital. We do require that you are an existing client of the North Laurel Animal Hospital but the pet we examine may be a new pet to your home. This previous relationship with The client is essential so that we may ensure the safety of the Doctor's and Technician's who will be visiting your home.
There is a $90 flat rate house call fee and we are capable of providing the following services during the house call:
The house call service is simply a courtesy to our clients who may not be able to visit us in the hospital and are in need of routine wellness care for their pets. We will not be able to treat injuries or other conditions due to the lack of transportable treatment materials and equipment. Serious/complicated cases should always been see in hospital.
Appointments are scheduled between the hours of 12:00pm and 4:00pm at the doctor's discretion. We may not be able to accomodate all house call requests due to the large surgical volume in hospital on these days.
Our house call service must be restricted to a limited area within the immediate vicinity of our hospital so that we may service your pets and return to the hospital in a timely fashion. The map to the left details our house call service area which is limited to a five mile radius of the North Laurel Animal Hospital (inside the red borders).
