Jessi Steere, DVM

Dr.Steere grew up in upstate New York. she Attended Suny Oswego, where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Zoology. She then Studied veterinary medicine at St. George's University in Grenada, West Indies. She completed her clinical year at Louisiana State University and began working at a referral and emergency practice in Mandeville, LA. since then, most of her career has been in emergency, until two years ago when she started to work part time as relief at North Laurel Animal Hospital. She loved the team and the clients so much that she decided to stay on full time.
Dr Steere is currently a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association(AVMA) , and the Veterinary Emergency and Clinical Care Society (VECCS) and is current President of the Greater Baltimore Veterinary Medical Association (GBVMA)
Dr Steere has two mixed breed dogs, Xande and Nutmeg, and two cats, Raisin and Tituba. Raisin is a sphinx cat, and generally the biggest troublemaker of the group.
In her spare time, Dr Steere enjoys endurance racing (she is a 4x ironman and has completed several marathons and ultra marathons),indoor rock climbing, yoga and hiking. she also loves to travel with her husband Dan, who is an Air Force Officer. in 2019, Dr. Steere and her husband climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro together.
Dr Steere is very much looking forward to providing fear-free, compassionate care to the pet patients of North Laurel Animal Hospital.
